PHILADELPHIA, PA — Elizabeth Fiedler is proud to announce she has received the endorsements of Pennsylvania Association of Staff Nurses and Allied Professionals (PASNAP), UniteHere! and Pennsylvania Working Families Party. The endorsements reflect Elizabeth’s commitment to workers’ rights and unions.

Elizabeth is running for State Representative in the 184th because she is committed to prioritizing the needs of working people over the profits of corporations and the rich. She is the daughter of two union workers and is committed to ensuring everyone has safe working conditions, fair wages and union representation.

“As public school cafeteria workers, we are the heart of Philly’s public schools. We see every day the impact of underfunding on our children. Elizabeth Fiedler is committed to fight for full funding for public education.” – Nicole Hunt, President, UNITE HERE Local 634

Elizabeth will stand in solidarity with unionized workers and will push the state to invest in long term, family-sustaining jobs. She will oppose policies that give tax breaks to the richest few at the expense of our communities and that privatize our public resources.

“Elizabeth Fiedler understands that service workers, including restaurant, fast food and hotel workers, are at the center of our city’s economy. She is committed to fighting for better wages, the right to a union, quality public education and quality healthcare for all of us. “ – Rosslyn Wuchinich, UNITE HERE Local 274

Brandon Evans, State Director of Working Families Party, pledged to provide campaign consultation as well as mobilizing volunteers to put boots on the ground to ensure victory. Elizabeth received an enthusiastic statement of support from PASNAP President Patricia Eakin, RN, who represents 8,300 direct care givers, predominantly registered nurses.

“Elizabeth Fiedler is the kind of visionary legislator we need in Harrisburg. She supports policies that all working families need like fully funded public education, universal health care, and a living wage.” – PASNAP President Patricia Eakin

The campaign has raised more than $70,000 through more than 560 individual contributions. The campaign filed 1602 signatures with the state of Pennsylvania for ballot access. Elizabeth’s campaign has gained massive grassroots support across the district, with than 500 volunteers signing up to take action.
